To determine the value of your equipment, we assess its condition and assign a rating accordingly. Here are some of the key factors we typically consider during a trade-in evaluation:
Current market demand for your model
Overall cosmetic and operational condition
Availability and functionality of original accessories (battery, charger, lens cap, etc.)
Our experts can provide a preliminary evaluation by email, but an in-store assessment remains the best way for us to accurately evaluate your equipment and offer a fair trade-in value.
Gosselin's equipment condition ratings are based on the following criteria:
Have Questions? We Have Answers.
What Equipment Can I Trade In?
We buy back cameras, video equipment, lenses, and select accessories. All are subject to evaluation and approval by our in-store specialists.
How Is the Value Determined?
The value of your equipment is determined by several factors, including current market demand and its overall condition. Not all equipment is eligible for a buyback, and values may vary based on demand. We also evaluate the equipment's cosmetic and functional condition, level of wear, and the accessories included.
Can I Mail In My Equipment?
Not at this time. Equipment must be evaluated in person by one of our specialists at a Gosselin store. We hope to offer a mail-in evaluation service in the future.
